An age old tradition, oriental bookbinding will show you how to make a traditional Japanese receipt book, covered with beautiful hand made Japanese paper.

Learn the exquisite detail behind its making process and create a book that can be used for shopping lists, taking notes and around the home.


What to Bring

  • $15 cash for a materials kit that will be provided in the workshop. This will include beautiful paper, enough for two books. You may wish to bring more cash if you want to buy more of the paper
  • A few sheets of news print or news paper for glueing
  • A needle with a large eye (tapestry needle is good)
  • A glue stick
  • Scissors
  • A metal ruler
  • An awl
  • Craft knife
  • Pencil
